DCX Vehicle Update Instructions for Trinity

Follow these instructions if you get the message on your Trinity that reads: “This vehicle needs an update Download here: www.diablosport.com/dcx " and your tuner is already on the most current revision. This message is displayed because the tool wants to update the vehicle’s stock calibration file, not necessarily because the Trinity itself needs an update. We have configured the Trinity to be able to run the same update function as a dealership’s equipment, so that you do not need to bring it in to them when the update is required. However, the tool’s firmware (the software that controls it) may still need an update first.

To determine if the tool’s software is current, boot it up by plugging it in to power, and select OPTIONS/SHOW INFORMATION. The revision of the software the tool carrying will be displayed next to ‘Version’. Compare this to the most recent revision on the Downloads page for your Trinity to see if the unit is current. If it is not, first follow the ‘Trinity Update Instructions’.
The DSDownloader/Trinity Driver program
These should both be installed and ready on computer, assuming you are on the same PC that you used to register your Trinity. If it does not, once again, go to the Trinity Downloads page to make sure that your tool is up to date and registered.

Uploading the Calibration Update
1. Connect the tool to the computer with the power and USB/Serial cables.
2. Open the DSDownloader program and under ‘Options’ make sure there is a check mark next to the line that says “Auto Connectâ€

According to my tuner, I need a flash on my 09 Challenger R/T to a "AG" flash, and the current flash that is in the car is a "AE". Any help with this?

Guys,
The dealer re-flashed the PCM on my car today. I tried to E-mail you the JPGs of the workorder for proof at the address posted above (support@diablosport.com), but I got delivery failures. Can't attach the JPGs here, evidently, either...

You have an E-mail address I can send the proof to?

After the Calibration Update is complete, you can continue to flash the tunes that are built into the Trinity.

For those who have a CMR tune, updating the Calibration would render our CMR tunes useless, right?

If that is correct, how can I return my Trinity to an older rev, like 1r04 ?

huh??? going back to a previous trinity revision does nothing for you, heh...

once the engine calibration has been updated on the pcm, you have to have the custom tunes recreated by your CMRtuner, using a copy of the new original backup from that pcm calibration update...

I just got a Trinity. It seems to auto update when plugged in to a PC and DSDL launched.

Since I have a custom tuned car, is there a way to prevent that? I may not be able to always bug HemiTuner to update Calids and what not so my tunes will work.

Also, if it does update automagically, can you just point to the old crom (saved it on my PC) and revert to avoid the calid issue?

Would be nice if the Trinity had a "roll back" feature.

Do those of us with custom tuned cars gain anything from these calid updates?
