I have a 99 1500 4x4 with a rebuilt 04 5.3. Mods are Comp Cam intake lift & duration .583/249 exhaust .581/264 114.5* lobe separation & 6.5* advance, Comp springs & lifters, block was decked & heads were milled so compression is .5 over stock. performance pistons with stock bore & compression, stock rods so stock stroke, cold air intake & dual exhaust with no cats. i have a 7498 predator & have installed the 87 octane tune. I retarded the timing 6* across the board to counter the 6.5* advance in the cam, so I'm .5* advance over the 87 tune. Any suggestions on where to go from here. What should COT be set at with no cats? How about Injector slope with the taller cam? Any parameter suggestions for my not so stock ride? I am planning on upgrading to the Trinity in a few months. I' m a gunsmith & hunting season is at it's peak now, so I don't have much time to tinker with the truck. Thanks.
