2011 camaro l99 handheld no work..

I bought a diablosport tuner from a friend on a camaro forum.. he set his car back stock.. and sent me the tuner.. it wont load anything.. says i need to call and get an update??? can someone help.. what do i need to do to get this or what??? thanks..
